Maximum of 12 participants for each course.
For group booking, you can book from a minimum of 4 up to 12 participants.
Who is this course for:
This course is for those working as Nannies.This is a good course for parents and/or prospective parents.
Course Content:
This course equips you with key life-saving skills for children and infants. It covers primary surveys, choking, external bleeding, shock, bites, stings and minor injuries, and unresponsiveness. Suited for those who have specific responsibility at work such as Nannies, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide first aid to children and infants.
This course is based on UK Resuscitation Guidelines and meets
HSE
and
Ofqual
guidelines. Certificates are valid for 3 years.
Course Content:
Unit 1: Emergency Paediatric First Aid
- Understand the role and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider
- Be able to assess an emergency situation safely
- Be able to provide first aid for an infant and a child who are unresponsive
- Be able to provide first aid for an infant and a child who are choking
- Be able to provide first aid to an infant and a child with external bleeding
- Know how to provide first aid to an infant or a child who is suff from shock
- Know how to provide first aid to an infant or a child with bites, stings and minor injuries.
