Bookings and Cancellations: All bookings and cancellation to be made in writing by email or post

Payment Full payment should be made 10 days prior to start date of the course. Payment can be made by cheque, credit card or BACS.

Course Bookings/Reservations All bookings/reservations are subject to the above standard terms and conditions.

Failure to Show Any trainee failing to attend a course will still reflect a bona-fide booking, the fee of which will be subjected to our standard terms and conditions.

Cancellations

Should a candidate cancel a course booking, cancellation notification must be received as per below:

  • If the cancellation notification is received at least 16 days before the course date, a refund of 90% of the course fee will be paid;
  • If the cancellation notification is received between 10 and 15 days before the course date, a refund of 75% of the full course fee will be paid;
  • If the cancellation notification is received between 5 and 9 days before the course date, a refund of 50% of the full course fee will be paid;
  • If the cancellation notification is received less than 5 days before the course date, no refund is given;
  • If the candidate cancels or does not turn up on the day of the training, for whatever reason (be it sickness, industrial action or any other event) no free transfer is granted and no refund is given.

Transfers

Should a candidate wish to transfer to another course date, a transfer notification must be received as per below:

  • If the transfer notification is received at least 16 days before the course date, no transfer fee will be charged;
  • If the transfer notification is received between 10 and 15 days before the course date, a transfer fee of 25% of the full course fee will be charged;
  • If the transfer notification is received between 5 and 9 days before the course date, a transfer fee of 50% of the full course fee will be charged;
  • If the transfer notification is received less than 5 days before the course date, a full course fee is charged;
  • Once the transfer is booked, the candidate will not be entitled to any refund if the course is subsequently cancelled or transferred. To attend a new course date, a new booking with payment in full is required.
  • A booking that has been transferred once will not be eligible for a discounted transfer or a partial or full refund if the candidates fail to attend or cancel regardless of when the notice to cancel or transfer was received.

Reduced fee:

A candidate who has booked a course paying a considerably reduced fee through promotional campaigns will not be eligible for a free transfer or a partial or full refund if he/she fails to attend or cancels regardless of when the notice to cancel or transfer was received.

Multiple-day courses:

The following applies to multiple-day courses such as the two-day Paediatric course, 3-day First Aid at Work (FAW) or the two-day FAW Requalification course and any other multiple-day courses not mentioned here:

  • The London First Aid Training Company are unable to issue certificates to people who have not attended the required number of days.
  • In the event a candidate is unable to attend the second or subsequent days of the course, the full course fee will apply if he/she wishes to joing another course.
  • The London First Aid Training Company are not obliged to offer candidates places on future courses.
  • If it is possible, the candidate may be offered to attend missed days on future courses scheduled within one month of the original course date, in which case a reduced rate of 75% of the full course fee will apply.

On-site Courses:

An on-site course date may be transferred or cancelled altogether and an admin fee of 25% of the full course fee will be incurred unless the course date is within 10 working days in which case the full course fee will apply.

Certificates:

We reserve the right not to issue certificates where an invoice remains unpaid. If certificates were to be sent overseas after the course, an extra cost of £10.00 will be payable by the trainee. Requests for copy certificates must be made in writing. Replacement certificates will cost £15.00 if sent within the uk. Replacement certificates will cost £30.00 if sent overseas.

Right of Admission:

The London First Aid Training Company reserves the right to refuse admission to any trainee exhibiting unruly or anti-social behavior to either its staff or other trainees. Any such incident will result in the immediate removal of the offending party.

Course Timings & Attendance:

Trainees must adhere to timings as stipulated on the course joining instructions. Failure to attend and participate in any part of the course will result in the trainee's removal from the final examination (where applicable).

Fitness to Attend:

Trainees placed on any of these courses must be free from any ailment, condition or injury that will affect their ability to participate during the practical aspects of the course.

Refresher Training:

Trainees placed on the refresher course must be in possession of a valid HSE-approved certificate.

Delivery Policy :

Upon successful completion of the course, certificates are issued for participants and delivered by recorded delivery post within 2 weeks of the course.

Force Majeure:

The London First Aid Training Company cannot be held responsible for any incident or occurrence outside its control that affects the provision of any given course date, course forecast, course content or course timing, and/or including cancellation, amendment or re-scheduling. Where a course content or course timing has to be amended/cancelled/re-scheduled for whatever reason, The London First Aid Training Company will make every reasonable effort to make alternative arrangements.
